Lessons are 55 minutes long, with a 5 minute buffer period for wrap up questions, your child’s Student Log to be updated, and preparations made for the following student. It will also allow me to catch up on any immediate administrative tasks.
Regular Bookings - regular weekly bookings, whether face-to-face or online, are prioritised in order to ensure that your child benefits the most from our tuition sessions. By keeping a tab on what your child is studying at school, and then revising, reviewing, and developing from those topics, I can help your child grow much more confident and skilled.

Holiday Bookings - whether your child is studying in Hong Kong or abroad, you are more than welcome to book lessons with me during the school holidays. These can be face-to-face or online. These intensive study periods mean that we can cover a lot more material much more quickly. The skills and techniques your child learns will be fresh in their minds when they return to school. It's always a pleasure to help students face-to-face when they return to Hong Kong during their breaks but I can also offer online lessons to those who remain abroad. The holiday periods are primarily Autumn half-term, Christmas, Chinese New Year / Spring half-term, Easter, May half-term, and Summer.

Ad Hoc / Waitlist Bookings - sometimes my timetable is very full and unfortunately I'm unable to offer you your desired timeslot. If you would like to be put on the ad hoc list, I will contact you as soon as possible when there are spaces in my timetable. If you require regular tuition, I can put you on the waitlist and contact you as soon as a regular timeslot becomes free.

Reservations and Bookings

Reservations are made on a “first-come first-serve” basis and bookings are secured only after full payment has been made for the lesson(s). Please send a screenshot of your payment to my WhatsApp or email for confirmation.

After a reservation has been made, confirmation by payment must be made at least 3 days before the lesson(s), otherwise the reserved time(s) may be released.

Should a student come to a reserved timeslot before payment has been made, I reserve the right to preclude the student from attending the lesson.

Reminders to confirm a new block booking will be made when no credits remain.
Cancellations and Reschedulings

If a lesson has to be cancelled, the parent or guardian should give at least 2 days’ notice. In such cases, no lesson credit will be forfeited and the lesson can be rescheduled.

If there is less than 2 days’ notice about an absence, or if there is a no show, the lesson credit will be forfeited.

If a lesson needs to be rescheduled, the parent or guardian should give at least 2 days' notice, otherwise the lesson credit will be forfeited.

In case of illness, the parent or guardian should contact me at the earliest convenience and provide a doctor's note, otherwise the lesson credit may be forfeited.

​If I am ill, I will notify the parent or guardian at the earliest convenience. No lesson credit will be forfeited.

Repeat late payments, late cancellations, no shows, or rescheduling may result in your timeslot(s) being released to other students.

Lessons will be suspended or replaced with online lessons when:

Typhoon Signal 8 or higher has been raised

A Black Rainstorm warning is in force

The HK Observatory gives notice that either of the above will be raised within 2 hours

"Extreme Conditions" are declared

In such situations, I will get in touch with the student and/or parent or guardian as soon as possible to make appropriate arrangements.
Referrals

For every referral who decides to continue tuition with me, a free lesson will be offered to the referrer / their child.
Refunds

If a student can no longer attend their lessons and no alternative timeslot works, any remaining lesson credits may be transferred to another student or refunded.
